hearts & flowers & cabbage

I can't believe it's almost Valentine's Day! Wasn't it just Thanksgiving & Christmas? I was so stressed out this last holiday season that I swore I would start preparing for the holidays sooner this year. The day after Halloween is not too early to put up Christmas it?

The latest challenge from Allsorts calls for hearts & flowers. They are such a great combo. I just might use them again for an upcoming challenge.

I've got to get a move on my Valentine's Day cards. Pretty soon, St. Patrick's Day will be here. Although I don't send out St. Patty Day cards...I've discovered a few years ago that I LOVE the traditional Irish dish, corned beef & cabbage! Yum! I'll be scouring the Vons weekly ads for the next few weeks just waiting to hoard some corned beef. Can I mention how infatuated I've become with cabbage these past two weeks? I've made cabbage-cheddar chowder twice. The second time I made it, I doubled the recipe. I also made a cabbage and potato bake, twice! The second time I made that dish, I did without the potatoes & not doubled but tripled the amount of cabbage! I've gone coocoo for cabbage.
